In the solo show "Omfamna" Hanna Hedman shows objects from her ongoing project "Becoming Nature" together with a new series of embroidered works in textile and wood, produced for the exhibition. The embroideries depict a foggy, slow and repetitive everyday life, seen through water surfaces and draperies overgrown by greenery.
Hanna Hedman is an artisan active in Bagarmossen, Stockholm, having her workshop at the collective workshop Svart. She is educated in the USA, New Zealand and Sweden. In her multifaceted artistry, she often mixes imagination with reality, art and function in a wide range of techniques.
